Crosswinds provides dinner music and concert at LifeTalk Benefit
Crosswinds will provide opening entertainment, dinner music, and a post banquet concert. All proceeds will support LifeTalk, which provides a safe haven for anyone in need of support, counseling, and/or guidance through some of life's most difficult challenges.
Crosswinds plays Oct 24th, at the Sacred Jazz Festival in Denton
Please join Crosswinds and 7 other Christian Bigbands, as we come together for the 2nd Sacred Jazz Festival. This time the festivities will be held in Denton, TX at the First United Methodist Church in Denton. The fun starts at 10:00 AM with master classes given by staff from the famed University of North Texas College of Music Jazz Studies. Band perfomances start at 12:00, with Crosswinds playing at 12:55 in the Flinn Auditorium. Headliner concert - 7:00 PM UNT 2:00 Jazz Ensemble.
Crosswinds welcomes new members
Crosswinds is pleased announce the addition of new members to it's line up. Sarah Roberts, long time sub for Crosswinds has joined us as a full time member in the sax section. We also welcome newest member Joe Janes on tenor sax
Taking over for his big brother is Tanner Webb, who fills the spot a year after Garen Webb leaves for college.
Benjamin Kelley joins us in the trumpet section, covering the "utility" book, requiring lead chops, solo chops, and section work.
